"Saantvan" (सान्त्वन) is a Hindi word that signifies the act of offering comfort to someone in distress. It embodies the warmth and compassion extended to soothe someone’s emotional pain. Saantvan is a designed to be welcoming space where individuals can find comfort and space.
At Saantvan, the core value is the significance of the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist. This relationship forms the foundation of their practice, emphasizing trust, empathy, and mutual respect.

Surbhi Joshi has completed her Master’s Program in Clinical Psychology. She is the Co-Founder of Saantvan and a Psychotherapist. She has earned her certifications in EMDR, Psychotherapy and Couple’s and Family Therapy. She is also a certified First Responder for Suicide.
She works with the age range of 14 to 40 years and has extensive experience in working with concerns such as Anxiety, Depression, Interpersonal concerns, abuse, ADHD and more. Building a relationship with her clients based on trust, commitment and collaboration is imperative for Surbhi. She helps her clients get in touch with themselves and bring awareness through inner child and she engages in Psychodynamic as her approach which draws parallel between your present self and your formative years. She upholds the importance of culture and the social context in which one has been bought up.
She believes in empowering her clients by creating a safe environment and helping them uncover their unresolved needs, wants and patterns.

Minal, with her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, serves as a Co-Founder and Psychotherapist at Saantvan, catering to young adults and adults aged 20 to 45. Her focus areas span anxiety, depression, grief and loss, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, childhood neglect and abuse, and domestic violence.
Her expertise extends to Trauma Therapy and Integrated Somatic Practice. In her therapeutic approach, Minal emphasizes establishing the therapeutic relationship grounded in consistency and trust. She facilitates clients in unraveling their life experiences, repetitive patterns, core beliefs, and unexpressed needs through a blend of bodywork and exploration of childhood memories through Inner Child work.
With a trauma-informed lens, Minal cultivates a safe and empowering atmosphere for her clients.
She diligently incorporates their personal, cultural, and social context into the therapy process,
offering choices and nurturing a sense of security throughout their journey of healing.

Durva has completed her Masters’ in Psychology with a specialization in counseling. She is a consultant psychologist at Saantvan and works with the age range of 18-40. She is queer-affirmative and trauma-informed. She excels at providing a warm space for her clients by creating a validating and a collaborative space.
She integrates and implements evidence-based practices, primarily Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, and DBT. She specializes in concerns surrounding self-image, emotion regulation, and interpersonal issues. She is dedicated to supporting individuals in navigating their social relationships and fostering emotional well-being.
She has experience working with a diverse range of issues, including anxiety, trauma, inter-personal relationship difficulties, stress management, self-compassion and life transitions.
